Pierre Garnier has not been idle this weekend. Last Friday he released his first album Each second, an event he celebrated with great fanfare. “I’m afraid of heights, but singing on a high platform in front of the entire Arena was incredible,” he confided to Eric Jean-Jean’s microphone in #LeDriveRTL2, “Seeing the audience sing with me , it was a magical moment.”

It all started for Pierre at Star Academy. “In October I came in as a stranger, and in three months everything changed,” he explained. “When you came out, it was crazy. You feel lost, but you have to adapt to this new life. Fortunately, my close circle remained the same.”

Pierre remembers his immediate success when the show came out. “We didn’t have social media during the show. When I came out and saw a million followers on Instagram, it was crazy.” He now uses this notoriety to share his music with as many people as possible.

The creation of “Every Second”

“The album was done in several stages,” Pierre said. “Before Star Ac’, I had started to compose. Afterwards, I spent a week in the countryside with friends like Joseph Kamel and Daisy to work on the album. Then, with the tour, I had to juggling between concerts and studio sessions.

Pierre surrounds himself with talent for this first album. “With Mosiman and Sofiane Pamard, I was able to bring to life songs that I had in mind for a long time. For example, Sofiane arranged part of my first song in French on the piano, Not a tear. The result is magnificent”.

Pierre Garnier shared his musical influences, mentioning artists like Led Zeppelin, Guns N’Roses and Ed Sheeran. “At the beginning, I wanted to be a guitarist,” he revealed, before talking about his evolution towards singing “it was at the Star Academy that I realized the potential of my voice”. He also performed his single live We We know and an Ed Sheeran cover Perfectthus showing the extent of his talent.

From Star Academy to stage

With a tour in full preparation, Pierre is ready to conquer the public. “The Olympia sold out in two minutes, it’s incredible,” he rejoiced. “We are adding dates because everything is almost full. It’s a new adventure that is beginning.”

Pierre writes and composes his own songs. “When I compose, I sit down with my guitar, I find a melody, then words and sentences. It’s a process that I love.” His songs, from The horizon with gospel accents Like youshow its diversity and creativity.

The tour Each second which will begin on January 10, 2025, is already shaping up to be a success. The Olympia is already full, but other dates will be announced. Pierre is grateful for the support he receives and looks forward to sharing his music with his audience. “Seeing people singing my songs is an incredible feeling. I can’t wait to experience those moments on stage.”
