Born in Dordogne, Pascal Obispo is very attached to his home in Cap-Ferret, where he lives and composes his songs.
Born in Bergerac, in Dordogne, Pascal Obispo has moved around a lot during his career. Multiplying the return trips to Paris, it is not however in Ile-de-France that the singer has taken up residence. Indeed, he is very attached to Cap-Ferret, where he married Julie Hantson in 2015 – from whom he divorced in 2022. Like Audrey Tautou, the artist still has a house there in which he flourishes and composes his songs.
Pascal Obispo and Cap-Ferret, a long love story
In July 2017, Pascal Obispo already spoke of his love for Cap-Ferret and the Arcachon basin. There, he bought the former holiday center of the Mutuelle des enfants du spectacle in the Arcachon basin (Gironde) in 2004, before making it his home. According to the JDDhe transformed this land with an area of 1.4 hectares “in a superb place out of sight in the green nature” et “even installed a recording studio.”
In an interview given to our colleagues, Pascal Obispo gave more details about this unique place. “It was abandoned. Only a few Algecos remained with asbestos and these small sinks, which I could not part with. On the walls of my house, I also fixed the plaster crests of the Mutual of children of the spectacle Unfortunately, I am not an organizer of summer camps!he explained. Once the estate was renovated, he organized author seminars.

More recently, Pascal Obispo gave an interview to Galaon the occasion of the release of his new album, The Archipelago of Aftermaths. For this one, the singer sang intimate and acoustic love songs. He has notably collaborated with Zazie, Carla Bruni and Isabelle Boulay. He then spoke of his attachment to Cap-Ferret. “It’s a refuge, undoubtedly”he admitted.
For Pascal Obispo, this place also remains very attached to his childhood. “I live in a house that was a former summer camp and I have kept all the little sinks from that time. This place is filled with children’s souls. When I compose there, with my little piano, it carries me, I live a little self-sufficient of course, but I always hear the little laughs of the kids“, he confided to our colleagues. A life which ultimately seems to please him, between two tours. As recently announced on his Instagram account, the singer will resume his tour of his 30-year career from November 7 , in Courbevoie.
