A Comedy Club evening to launch the nomadic season of “Pic Vert takes the air”

Still closed a year after the fire, the Pic Vert offers a very varied cultural season outside the walls.

Meet this Saturday, November 9 for the first evening of “Pic Vert takes the air”, an innovative cultural season which will allow the café-restaurant, destroyed by a fire in November 2023, to maintain a link with the Millavois in offering them appointments every month.

For this first evening, the Pic Vert team awaits you at the René Rieux room from 9 p.m. for a Comedy Club provided by a talented team led by a certain “Mr. T”. “We had a real demand for this type of event, and it should have taken place last year, but the fire did not allow us to secure the date”specifies Élodie Uras, employee in charge of the establishment's cultural programming.

A season outside the walls while waiting for the reopening

With “Le Pic Vert takes the air”, the stated objective is obviously to find the Millavois public while waiting for the reopening of the place, but also to honor the dates planned with the artists before the fire. And it is with a meeting each month that the Pic Vert team will continue the season, hoping to return to its walls for the start of the 2025 school year. “The work should start in January or February and last six to eight months, reveals Élodie. But we have many partners who have supported us from the start and who continue to do so by lending us their rooms or equipment. We really thank them.”

We find in particular the Town Hall or the Department for financial support but other Millavoise structures have also responded such as the Chakana association, the Théâtre de la Doline, etc. “We also have the agreement of Bar’Bouille and the Théâtre de la Fabrick to host Free Knowledge Sharings, all that remains is to find volunteers”Élodie further details.

In terms of programming, the events will be varied, oscillating between music, shows, dance evenings, etc. Refreshment bars will be on site at every event, with the exception of this Saturday's Comedy Club, and conscious pricing will also return. “There will be three prizes, a 'mini', a 'fair' and a 'helping hand'. The idea being that those who can can help us but that the most modest people can also be part of the celebration.”

A great promise and numerous meetings that the Millavois will undoubtedly appreciate.
