Israeli-Palestinian conflict – Hostages: Netanyahu welcomes operation showing that Israel “does not give in to terrorism”

“You have proven that Israel does not give in to terrorism and acted with boundless creativity and courage to bring our hostages home,” Mr. Netanyahu told Israeli forces, according to a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister.

“We will not give up until we have succeeded in the mission and brought home all our hostages, the living and the dead,” he added from the room overseeing Israeli army operations.

Earlier on Saturday, the army announced the release of four Israeli hostages in a “difficult” military operation in the central Gaza Strip.

They are Noa Argamani, 26, Almog Meir Jan, 22, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 41, kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 from the site of the Nova electro music festival , said the army.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on the phone with Noa Argamani, whose mother suffers from brain cancer.

Responding to a question from the prime minister asking how she felt, the ex-hostage said: “Very happy, I haven’t spoken Hebrew for so long.”

“We have not abandoned you for a single moment,” continued Mr. Netanyahu during this telephone conversation.
