At the start of the day, Tuesday November 5, the firefighters of the Gard were called for a gas leak detected on Avenue Simone-Veil in Grau-du-Roi (Gard).
No casualties
The alert was given shortly after 9 a.m. Gas fumes were observed in the Gard city. These followed work in progress in this sector.
THE ten children a nursery located nearby as well as a ten residents were evacuated as a precaution. Around fifteen firefighters took part in this intervention. They benefited from the support of specialized technicians from the GRDF company.
Imperative recognitions
They were quickly able to put an end to this gas leak. Careful reconnaissance was then carried out in this sector of the Gard seaside resort.
No casualties have been reported. The children were able to return to their nursery and the local residents to their various accommodations.
