True to its early summer habits, CAA-Quebec has just unveiled its major survey on the vacation intentions of Quebecers. Where will we go, what will we do? Here are some trends.
First of all, 68% of Quebecers are planning to take a vacation this summer. And for 57% of them, it’s in Quebec that it’s going to happen!
The province is THE number one destination for its own residents, according to CAA-Quebec, with some regions attracting more attention than others.
Here are the top 5 regions that Quebec vacationers plan to explore this year:
1. The city and region of Quebec
The Quebec capital, its iconic old town and its magnificent surroundings will be the choice of 21% of Quebecers this summer.
2. Gaspésie
A timeless classic, Gaspésie will attract 18% of vacationers to its small villages and its great nature.
3. Charlevoix
The beauties (and delights) of Charlevoix, for their part, should see 14% of people taking vacations in the coming months.

As for the most popular times to take summer vacation, unsurprisingly, July is the number one choice (57% of people who will take vacation) and August is the number two choice (42%). June (21%) and September (13%) are less popular. To remember if you want a little more tranquility!
