Are you considering taking your driving test and want to put all the chances on your side? To do this, you must choose the right department to take your exam. The magazine Capital published, Monday, November 4, the statistics of “En car Simone”, an online driving school and reveals the permit pass rate by department.
According to this study, the overall success rate is 50.9%, or one in two candidatesbut between each department, there are many disparities. So if you have already failed several times, don't panic, you always have the possibility to change the place where you will take your examincluding during training.
Leading the departments with the highest success rate, we find Eure, where candidates have an 80% chance of obtaining the license. The Normandy department is followed by Yonne (77%), Drôme (75%), Somme (70%), and Morbihan (68%).
On the contrary, in certain departments, obtaining the permit is almost a miracle, particularly in the Loiret where the success rate does not exceed 32%. This is also the case forin Sarthe (34%), Isère (37%) and Charente (38.5%).
Why these disparities?
According to the driving school, “En Voiture Simone”, the disparities are partly explained by the endless wait to obtain a permit date. In Isère or Sarthe, you would have to wait on average 12 weeks before obtaining a date to carry out this examination. This explanation does not apply for Loiret where the delay was only 4 weeks in September.
“Faced with this observation, we must launch a global reflection to compensate for the lack of inspectors. We owe it to the students,” declared to our colleagues at CapitalEdouard Rudolf, the boss of “En Voiture Simone”.
