On the legal scene, the trial of an individual accused of having killed a woman at the Galeries de Saint-Hyacinthe in August 2021 is delayed.
According to information released by The Voice of the Eastthe legal process will not begin this month since the accused no longer has a lawyer.
Marc-André Houle, 46, saw two lawyers withdraw recently and they requested their withdrawal from the case after the accused was declared fit to stand trial in connection with a new evaluation.
Six weeks were scheduled for the trial to take place and it was postponed for a second time.
The 46-year-old man faces a charge of premeditated murder against Manon Savoie, 54 years old, from Saint-Pie in a jewelry store in August 2021.
Marc-André Houle is also accused of attempted murder of another person, assault of a third and theft of a vehicle and fleeing.
