The state of mind after Montpellier
The week obviously started well after a good result. We were a little more serene. The success against Montpellier, with a clean sheet and three points, after a complicated match against a direct opponent, is really a good result. But we quickly planned on Rennes which is arriving very quickly!
His personal case
I questioned myself after the two matches I spent on the bench. I looked at where I needed to improve or change certain things. It's hard to question yourself, to lose your place. But it's our job. As a player, we have to experience this kind of thing. It’s an ability that we develop since we were very young. I noticed that I was missing things in my game to bring more to the team, concentration and leadership.
Be decisive in Green?
Of course I want to be. Basically, I have a fairly offensive style, especially in training. Since the start of my career, I have had difficulty projecting that into competition. I would like to have more offensive statistics, score more goals! I was able to score with my country recently, I want to transcribe that in Green.
Rennes
We know that Rennes is behind us in the standings, but we also know that they should not be there given their squad, their budget and their ambitions in recent years. I think in the coming weeks they will climb the rankings. (…) They have a new coach who we know in France. It's going to be a match with a lot of energy.
