Samsung is preparing a cheaper Galaxy Z Flip and it's coming soon. Its next foldable smartphone will perhaps cost the price of a traditional smartphone.
Will Samsung finally decide to release a cheaper foldable smartphone? It seems so. The manufacturer was a pioneer in the field of foldable smartphones with the Galaxy Z Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip but is struggling to renew itself.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 are excellent smartphones but their design has changed very little.
They must face much bolder competitors. Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, Honor Magic V3, Huawei Mate XT, OnePlus Open Edition ApexSamsung foldables face smartphones with serious arguments.
A cheaper Galaxy Z Flip SE to get back in the race?
Samsung is losing ground and a cheaper Galaxy Z Flip would be a good way to attract a large number of customers. Motorola has already taken the plunge with the Razr 2024. A Korean leaker claims that Samsung has a Galaxy Z Flip FE in its plans.
This Fan Edition version would be based on the same principle as the Galaxy S24 FE. This new member of the FE range would be cheaper than the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in return it would have less advanced features.
This Galaxy Z Flip FE would be launched at the same time as the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. That is to say at the beginning of 2025.
Concerning its price, Samsung could align with Motorola's prices. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is €1,200. The Galaxy Z Flip FE could be below €900.
