Cognac: high school students enjoyed a festive and engaged day

In the afternoon, the teenagers invited two associations. France Terre d’Asile on the one hand, because the high school’s “associative class” already organized homework help for disadvantaged children. Some also signed up for a workshop where the Red Cross was able to teach them lifesaving actions.

  • A pop-up store has been set up at the high school. These second-hand clothes brought by the students were sold and helped raise funds for an association.

The high school students also called on the “rogue ghouls”, based in Bourg-Charente and whose main activity consists of raising funds to finance medical research to fight against neurofibromatosis. It is also to this association that the profits from this great festive day, which amount to €363, will be donated.

To get there, the students prepared a cake and drink sale. They also set up a sale of second-hand clothing brought back by the students (the unsold items were offered to Solidarité Urgence). Finally, they set up a large raffle, with the help of many downtown merchants who offered prizes.

There were many other activities to keep the students busy throughout the day. The workshop during which they were able to make their own geranium-scented lip balm was a great success. Just like the “tawashi” workshop allowing you to make washable and reusable sponges from old socks or the climate fresco game.
