Four days after the shooting which occurred in front of a nightclub in Saint-Peray, in Ardèche, the investigation is progressing. A suspect, aged 19 and originally from Italy, was arrested this Monday, November 4 at a deal point listed as belonging to the DZ Mafia clan in the Bricarde district. in Marseille, RTL learned from police sources. He is not registered with the TAJ (processing of criminal records).
The shooting left one dead, Nicolas Dumas, 22 years old, died on Saturday from his injuries at Valence hospital (Drome). A 24-year-old woman and a 22-year-old security guard were injured in the leg.
If the circumstances of the shooting remain unclear, the testimonies collected by investigators on site suggest that Nicolas was not the shooter's target, who was then wearing a balaclava and was armed with an automatic weapon. The shooting would therefore have no link to drug trafficking.
One of the avenues studied by the investigators would be that the shooter was refused access to the nightclub while he was accompanied by other individuals.
The death of Nicolas Dumas revives the wounds within the Romans-sur-Isère Rugby club. A year ago, another club rugby player, Thomas Perroto, died in Crépol (Drôme). All leaders recall that the two tragedies have no direct or indirect links. A white march will be organized by the rugby club in tribute to Nicolas.
