Activision has finally lifted the veil on all the content that is about to land as part of the December 5 deployment of Season 1 Reloaded of Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Thus, the veil has finally released on the Citadel of the Dead, the brand new map for Zombies mode.

The Citadel of the Dead is one of the most ancient and disturbing monuments in Avalon. In addition to its sinister history, it serves as a base for the Syndicat Français, a notorious criminal organization. Established on the ruins of a leper colony in the 12th century and completed a century later, the citadel fell under the control of the renegade knight Guy de Saint Michel and his four henchmen in the 14th century, marking the start of a reign criminal who would give birth to the Syndicate.
Over the centuries, the fortress has withstood medieval sieges and two world wars. However, its importance declined as Avalon prospered. Now closed to the public, it is home to the Syndicate crew led by Franco, a criminal boss involved in Project Janus, a collaboration that led to dark and disastrous events.
After the events of Terminus, Weaver, Maya, Carver, and Grey, accompanied by Peck, Raptor One, and Strauss, go on a mission to the European principality of Avalon. Their goal is to find Gabriel Krafft, an expert who can provide them with crucial information about the Sentinel Artifact, an ancient relic that can free Samantha Maxis from her ethereal imprisonment.
As they reach the citadel at dawn, shrouded in an ominous mist, a meeting with a former ally confirms the validity of the intelligence provided by SAM Franco, the leader of the Syndicate and target of Maya's vengeance, is on site. , holding Krafft hostage. However, their mission quickly takes a dramatic turn: dimensional breaches open around the fortress, triggering a massive zombie invasion.
The Citadel of the Dead becomes the scene of a desperate battle against hordes of undead.
