Philippe Pradal was recently appointed national secretary in charge of immigration issues within the Horizons party. A strategic designation which reflects the importance of this subject in the program of the political party led by Édouard Philippe.

Former mayor of and experienced municipal councilor, Philippe Pradal was recently appointed national secretary in charge of immigration issues within the Horizons party. The party led by Édouard Philippe, of which Christian Estrosi was appointed President of the assembly of mayors, continues its structuring. This appointment marks a key milestone in Horizons’ approach to addressing migration challenges. The outgoing deputy for the 3rd constituency of Alpes-Maritimes combines local experience and national vision, two valuable assets for his new role.

With Horizons, Philippe Pradal advocates a pragmatic approach to immigration, anchored in the reality of the territories and in respect for republican values. Through this appointment, the party highlights its commitment to balancing control and humanism. Philippe Pradal, as rapporteur of the recent immigration law, has already demonstrated his ability to work on appropriate regulatory measures. These aim to combine administrative firmness and respect for human rights.

His experience in Nice, a border town particularly exposed to migratory flows, strengthens his understanding of the issues specific to certain regions. Horizons hopes to leverage this expertise to formulate proposals for controlled regulation and integration, while ensuring border security. In his capacity as President of the Finance Commission at Nice town hall, he will continue to work in collaboration with local elected officials and grassroots associations, in order to guarantee an approach in line with local realities.
