Alexis Lebrun begins his WTT Champions in Frankfurt this Monday, November 4 against the title holder, the Taiwanese Lin Yun-Ju. A match to follow live video on our site from 7:05 p.m.
The day after the victory of his little brother Félix against Simon Gauzy, it is Alexis Lebrun's turn to enter the fray in this WTT Champions in Frankfurt. The reigning European champion and 13th in the world faces world No.12 and last seed in the tournament this Monday, Lin Yun-Ju.
Thanks to his victory against the great Ma Long in the final last year, the Taiwanese is none other than the defending champion in Frankfurt. An opponent that Alexis Lebrun has never beaten on the circuit other than by forfeit, while their last meeting dates back to last February, during the World Team Championships (0-3).
A place for the finals to be secured
The Montpellier native has every interest in winning against the No.12 because he is not yet certain of playing in the WTT finals in Fukuoka in singles, bringing together the 16 best players in the world. If successful, he could find the Portuguese Marcos Freitas, whom he had beaten in Montpellier, who faces the German Dang Qiu.
