Two men tried to escape the police between Thursday October 31 and Friday 1is November 2024 in the agglomeration of Saint-Étienne (Loire), reports Progress . The first case took place Thursday evening and concerned a motorist driving a stolen car.
After refusing to comply, he engaged in a chase with the police, slaloming dangerously between the cars. Intercepted in a cul-de-sac, the man, with a clean criminal record, should be tried this Monday for concealment of theft, aggravated refusal to comply, and rebellion.
Alcohol and drugs
A little later, another man, already convicted four times, including twice for traffic offences, also tried to flee the police. The latter was driving without a license, under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
He was placed in pre-trial detention and will be tried this Wednesday, November 6 for endangering the lives of police officers, as well as for violence committed against the police during his arrest.
