A young rider between life and death after a fall on horseback in Lot-et-Garonne

It was a dramatic accident which occurred this Sunday, November 3, 2024 near l’hippodrome d’Agenlocated in the town of Passage d'Agen, in Lot-et-Garonne.

At 3:46 p.m., emergency services interveneda young woman of 22 years old who suffered a heavy fall while riding a horse.

The rider transported unconscious to Pellegrin hospital in Bordeaux

The young rider was in ventilatory arrest following the fall and was quickly taken care of by the team of first aiders from the provisional emergency system (DSP), present on site.

Thanks to this rapid intervention, the victim was able to regain independent breathing before the firefighters arrived.

Nevertheless, the young rider was still in a very worrying state and was still unconscious at the time of his medical transfer by the SMUR in Agen to the Pellegrin hospital in Bordeaux, by road.
