In recent years, it has become a happy tradition. When May or June arrives, the Guidon Biasais climbs to the heights of Saint-Pastour to organize its second Ufolep Grand Prix of the season after that of March or April contested in Bias. Saint-Pastour, the sporting city and cycling fan with its mayor Pierre Jeanneau and his deputy Marc Gontier, director of the local school and co-president with Philippe Boussac of the Masse valley club, will be celebrating on Sunday June 16 .

The enthusiasm generated by the finishing stage of the Tour de France in Villeneuve on July 11 will make this reunion a day entirely devoted to cycling with the collaboration of the USEP parents’ association of the village school. In the morning, a cool bike ride will be organized for children and their parents. Two circuits of 10 and 16 km. Free departures between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Maximum of 50 people authorized. A sweeper truck will be present. One euro for registration on 06 07 75 18 38. At midday, the APE will offer everyone a meal with sandwiches and drinks.

And in the afternoon, the heart of the village will beat to the rhythm of the numerous runners, juniors, females, 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st categories who come to compete from 3 p.m. on the 16 km circuit. A hilly loop which runs through the five towns of Saint-Pastour, Pinel, Monbahus, Moulinet and Beaugas and which will be secured by 33 marshals. It is a grind of wear and tear over the rounds that participants from all walks of life will engage in, with the good climbers always being present during the final meeting on the line.

On the biassais side, it is not easy to make predictions, but Hugo Lang, recently 3rd in the departmental cyclosport championship in Saint-Martin-de-Beauville and 11th in the Tour des Coteaux et Landes de Gasgogne in three stages in Casteljaloux, can pleasantly surprising in 2nd category. The fine connoisseur Gérard Martet will be the usual commentator. The winners will benefit from great prizes including baskets of dried fruits from France Prune. The seven winners’ bouquets will be offered by the Soubiran nurseries in Casseneuil.
