Summary of the meeting

Combat intense

It was a very young team that presented itself for this national U17 clash. With a New look attack composed of the trio Epanya, Toty and Fuleki, ASSE had their work cut out for them.

The match does not start as hoped. The locals will open the score following a cross taken by the Nice center forward. Too bad, Maxime Lengue had hit the crossbar shortly before. Fortunately, Mylan Toty will equalize with a nice right-footed shot after a serve from Traoré. He puts the two teams back on par thanks to his first goal in national U17. 1-1 is the score at half-time in a lively match where the Nicois pose real problems for our Greens.

An animated second

The start of the second half is good for David Le Moal's players. However, it is the locals who will regain the advantage after 10 minutes of play. The match is less exciting and the Saint-Etienne coach enters two new cartridges with Lutin and Mansouri. Mylan Toty will tie the two teams a second time on a service from Lutin Zidee. In the final moments of the match, Ilyes Mansouri scores Saint-Etienne's third goal! The perfect coaching move with the two entrants who prove decisive. Unfortunately, the locals will return to the last action. 3-3 is the final score!

During their next meeting, the Greens will host Air Bel, a club from the suburbs currently in the middle of the table, occupying an honorable 7th place tied on points with Olympique Lyonnais. The Greens are thus entering the home stretch of the first leg, with three matches remaining before the start of the return leg, which will open with the derby against OL on the field.
