The violent death of Nicolas “destroyed once again” the Romans-Péage rugby club because on November 19 another of its players died in dramatic conditions. Thomas, 16, was stabbed to death during a ball in Crépol (Drôme). His death caused a wave of emotion – some 6,000 people paid tribute to him during a march on November 22 – but also violence with incitement to hatred on social networks or a descent of the ultra-right into the La Monnaie district in Romans-sur-Isère.
