Disguised as Meryl Streep’s character in ‘Death Suits You,’ Adèle kisses the actress during a concert in Las Vegas

Adele, dressed as Meryl Streep’s famous character in “Death Suits You So Well”, exchanged a tender embrace with the actress during a concert as part of her musical residency in Las Vegas (United States).

A memorable encounter. After bursting into tears in the arms of Celine Dion last weekend, Adele warmly embraced Meryl Streep this Friday, November 1, during a Halloween performance at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The singer was notably dressed in the famous costume of her character in the feature film “Death suits you so well”, released in 1992.

As with every performance, the British musician greeted her fans in the auditorium during the performance of the song “When We Were Young”, wearing a silver dress similar to that of Madeline Ashton’s character. Seeing the famous actress among the audience, she bowed to her, before hugging her warmly. “Good morning ! Oh wow, what a f***ing honor, I love you!” she then exclaimed. The Oscar-winning actress responded with a tender hand kiss and applause.

A moving moment

The previous weekend, in a moment that went viral on social media, the pop star also shared an emotional embrace with Celine Dion during her “Weekends with Adele” residency. To the applause of the crowd, she hugged the Canadian singer in tears, asking the audience to salute “Madame Céline Dion, one of [ses] favorite people of all time.

After a few discreetly exchanged words, Céline Dion, who was accompanied by her twins, Nelson and Eddy, aged 14, kissed Adele’s hand, before she resumed her show.

Later, on Instagram, the “Hello” singer explained the reason for her emotion, writing: “I’ve been playing in Celine Dion’s room at the Colosseum for almost 2 years now. 4 weeks left! “It was the only venue I wanted to play in Vegas because it was built for it.” Adele then revealed she had a photo of the Canadian artist “right next to the stage” and touched her “every night” before her performances.

A deserved “long break”

In return, Celine Dion expressed her gratitude, saying: “We are very grateful to have been welcomed back, my family and I, to the Coliseum for your incredible show! Your performance was spectacular, your production was so beautiful. We loved seeing you and hearing you sing… It was such an emotional evening for all of us.”

Last July, the winner of 16 Grammy Awards announced to her fans that she was taking a “long break” at the end of her residency, which will end on November 23, and that she had no new musical projects.
