Two dead in a terrible collision between a car and a motorcycle on the Route des Barrages this Wednesday
The violent impact left two people dead and one injured.

This Wednesday, an accident occurred on the Route des Barrages (N589) between Lompret and Cerfontaine in the entity of Froichapelle. Around 3 p.m., a motorcyclist, riding his BMW 1200, and a vehicle, with two people on board, collided.

According to our initial information, the motorist was entering the National when the motorcyclist arrived. He was unable to avoid the collision. Unfortunately, following the very violent impact, the driver of the two-wheeler died instantly.
Following this tragic encounter, the emergency services came in large numbers. An ambulance and extrication from Chimay, an officer and a marking vehicle from Beaumont, a Dinaphi ambulance from the Cerfontaine station as well as a SMUR were sent to the scene.

Following the collision, the driver of the car suffered a cardiac arrest. His wife, who was in the passenger seat, was injured and suffered several broken ribs.
