The 71st Midi Olympique Oscars ceremony will reveal this Monday the winner for the title of best French player in the Top 14 during the 2023/2024 season. And like last year, the people from Toulouse and Bordeaux took the first places with five nominees each.
This is the home stretch. Who will succeed Gregory Alldridt for Oscar Gold? The answer will be known this Monday, during the 71st Midi Olympique Oscars ceremony which will take place at the Pavillon Cambon in Paris. Among the favorites to leave with the trophy, Antoine Dupont. The Toulouse scrum half had a top-flight season crowned with a double European Cup championship with the Stade and several titles in rugby sevens with a gold medal at the Paris Olympic Games. But the number nine champion of France will have to be wary of his teammates, Peato Mauvaka, Romain Ntamack, François Cros and Thomas Ramos all appear in the 30 nominees. This edition will also feature Union Bordeaux Bègles, with five players who can claim the title with Damian Penaud, Louis Bielle-Biarrey, Maxime Lucu, Mathieu Jalibert and Nicolas Depoortere. Other players will try to play spoilsport, like Lyon serial scorer Baptiste Couilloud or Parisian fullback Léo Barré.
