1:30 p.m. -60kg: Ray and Valadier-Picard trace their furrow
Facing Gabin Supervielle (JCR 78), reigning French champion, Kelvin Ray is focused and on the initiative. Always the first, he places a victorious o-uchi-gari which sends him to the quarter-finals against another Parisian Maxime Merlin but from the AJA XX club.
In the second part of the table, Romain Valadier-Picard, who has gone to Japan twice in a few months, must work hard to beat Anatole Guillard, the reigning French junior champion. A morote-seoi-nage placed ten seconds from the end – which could have been worth ippon – allows the 2023 European medalist to continue his journey.

12:50 p.m. -48kg: Perrot/Gilly: first semi-final of the day
A sode-tsuri-komi-goshi to the left about thirty seconds from the end and here is the Orléanaise Anais Perrot who passes the Clémentine Rochard obstacle. Qualified for the final four, the 23-year-old fighter and medalist at the Croatian Grand Prix in September, is exactly there. For a place in the final she will face Marine Gilly, victorious over her sister Coralie thanks to a sumi-gaeshi and a right shoulder movement. A semi-final between the two top seeds at the bottom of the table.

12:45 p.m. -73kg: Axus avoids the Jean trap
He seems overmotivated. Benjamin Axus (AJA Paris XX), already three-time French champion, has given the impression of being very rhythmic since this morning. Facing Peter Jean (JC Chilly-Mazarin Morangis), 2024 French junior champion (Eliot Prève did not show up), the Parisian judoka intelligently used his unusual reach: while Jean tried to snatch him, Axus left his left leg inside, came back face down and pinned the Chiroquois judoka to the ground. Here is the AJA judoka in quarter.

12:30 p.m. -52kg: Gonzalez/Weill dit Morey, first quarter-final
Léonie Gonzalez, seeded n°1, qualifies for the quarter-finals after her penalty victory against Sarah Bothy ( Judo). She will find Julie Weill known as Morey who, quite logically, made short work of Alice Lopez (Dojos de l'Agglomération du Niortais 79), the youngest fighter of this edition of the French championships since she did not I'm only 16! Medalist at the 2024 French junior championships, she is still a cadet. A few moments ago, she underwent the eri-seoi-nage then the immobilization of Weill said Morey in the first minute.

12:25 p.m. -57kg: Devictor at the end of herself!
Another very long fight – they have been increasing for several dozen minutes – between Chloé Devictor (FLAM 91) and Mailys Rozan (RSC Champigny). The first was 2021 world champion and 2022 world vice-champion among juniors. The second was vice-champion of juniors in March 2024. A waza-ari everywhere after four minutes. Then 6'31 of golden score before the magnificent uchi-mata to the left of Devictor!

12:15 p.m. -48kg: the quarter-finals
Mélanie LEGOUX-CLÉMENT (JC Marnaval 52)/Manon URDIALES (AS Bourg la Reine JJJ)
Laura ESPADINHA (ESBM JUdo)/Faustine BERNARD (Dojo Yonnais)
Anaïs PERROT (US Orléans JJJ)/Clémentine RICHARD (JC Chilly-Mazarin-Morangis)
Marine GILLY (JC Maisons-Alfort)/Coralie GILLY (JC Maisons-Alfort)

12:00 p.m. -52kg: the young shoots are there
Very strong in ne-waza, Alyssia Poulange (SO2J Saint-Ouen) uses her favorite weapon to beat Manon Comeyne (Judo Semussac). Previously, Léa Bérès (AS Bourg la Reine JJJ), 2023 junior world medalist beat Lilah Lagarde on penalties. In the next round, she will meet Pauline Cuq (Dojos de l'Agglomération du Niortais 79), selected European and world juniors this year.
Cuq, Poulange, Bérès, respectively, 20 years old, 18 years old and 21 years old are more than ever in the race. But only one will be in the semi-final!

12:00 p.m. -66kg: Bouda mate Christmas
The o-soto-gari to the left of Romaric Bouda (Eure Judo), quadruple national medalist, was enough to win this meeting against junior Kylian Noël, 2024 French champion in his age category.

11:20 a.m. -60kg: Ray and Valadier-Picard dominant
Vice-champion of French juniors and selected European and world in September and October, Kelvin Ray places a magnificent uchi-mata sukashi before immediately following up in immobilization against Ugo Machefer.
The following fight, Romain Valadier-Picard (ACBB Judo), one of the favorites of the day, places a tai-otoshi then a juji-gatame on junior Tom Brenier (Olympic Judo Nice). No frills.

11:20 a.m. -81kg: Zoubko at the end of boredom
It was one of the most enticing first round matches of this first day. Unfortunately, the duel was closed, – too – tactical. Little judo, a lot of kumikata between Daniyl Zoubko and Tizie Gnamien. Zoubko (ESBM Judo) who focused the entire fight on the left sleeve of Niçois Tizie Gnamien, vice-champion of France 2023. A first round without any flashes which will be decided by penalties: three to two.

10h40. -57kg : Mokdar facile
An opportunity in juji-gatame intelligently seized against Héloïse Grimont (Olympic Judo Nice) and the double title holder Faiza Mokdar (PSG Judo) enters her competition calmly.

On the same mat, an exceptionally long fight between Thomas Jaffart (Sainte Geneviève Sports Judo) and James Leclerc (Eure Judo) with a golden score of 9'31! Finally Thomas Jaffart, bronze medalist in 2022, against his opponent on o-soto-gari.

10:10 a.m. -66kg: Noël and Azema in the next round
Reigning French junior champion, Kylian Noël (Stade Bordelais Judo) will have patiently built his victory against Robin Corrado. Attempts at yoko-tomoe-nage sometimes bordering on false attacks. But on one of them, his yoko-tomoe-nage/juji-gatame sequence was perfect and forced the CO judoka to strike!
In the same category, Kevin Azema (ASPTT Moulins), 31, shows that he is starting his day to seek a third national title. A kata-guruma on Hugo Ribac and the fight was over.

10:10 a.m. -73kg: Metrot beaten!
She was one of the favorites of the day in -52kg. Fifth last year, Léa Metrot (Nice Judo) had a great start to the season: victory at the European Open in the Czech Republic and above all bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi!
But without inspiration against Nawel Abdelkrim (RSC ), the Niçoise was surprised by a ko-soto-gari on the golden score. First big surprise of the day!

09h55. -52kg  : Weill dit Morey continue sa route
2022 French Champion, Julie Weill known as Morey (JC Pontault-Combault) places a Reiter on Megane Vo (RSC Champigny) a few seconds from the end of regulation time, while the two fighters had two shidos each. A start to the championship where the ne-waza takes pride of place!
Previously, Léonie Gonzalez (ACBB Judo), vice champion of France 2023, entered her competition perfectly, notably with a harai-goshi against Inaya Moussati (DC ).

09h40 -48kg : Urdiales pique of the Year
Fight between two generations on mat n°1: on one side Manon Urdiales (AS Bourg-la-Reine JJJ), 27 years old, 2021 French champion. On the other side Morgane Annis (Alliance Grésivaudan Judo), early continental medalist September among seniors. Sanctioned twice by Shido, it is nevertheless Urdiales who pricks her younger sister in ne-waza after twenty-five seconds in the golden score. An unstoppable yoko-shiho-gatame.
In this same category, Mélanie Legoux-Clément (JC Marnaval), reigning French champion, easily won with a perfect juji-gatame over Élodie Macabrey (Dojo Béglais).

09:40: -60kg: Guillard stronger than Marteau
Duel of French junior champions on mat n°4 to open the day: Anatole Guillard (DAN 79) titled in -60kg beats Quentin Marteau (FLAM 91), champion in -55kg.
It's Guillard, with a nice ko-uchi-gari golden score that makes the difference.

09:30. Start of the competition at the Colisée in Chalon-sur-Saône!
