The events began on Halloween night and resumed last night when two buses were set on fire and a police officer injured.
Urban violence broke out on Friday evening in Rillieux-La-Pape, near Lyon, for the second night in a row, with buses burned and projectiles fired on the police, we learned from the prefecture.

On X, the prefect of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Fabienne Buccio, condemned “firmly condemn the criminal violence committed this (Friday) evening” and brought “his support for the injured police officer, the (TCL) agents and the residents”according to a message published by the prefecture.

Thursday evening, incidents had already taken place in Rillieux-La-Pape. Of the hooded young people had set fire to several cars and trash cans and three people were arrested, according to the prefecture.
