Brax. A day dedicated to bikers

Saturday June 1st and Sunday June 2nd, Bikers’ Day took place on the Brax military field. Hundreds of bikers gathered on this occasion. A first day of activities focused on road safety took place on Saturday, focusing on the 50 cm3 and 125 cm3.

The prefecture, the Lot-et-Garonne gendarmerie, the Lot-et-Garonne national police and the 48th communications regiment (48th RT) in partnership with the 47 Motorcyclists association organized this highlight. Many partners such as driving schools, insurers, accessories manufacturers and associations also contributed to the successful running of the event. On Saturday, around twenty people were made aware and took part in various workshops. On the program: awareness of road risks, wearing safety equipment, airbag vest demonstration, maneuverability course, emergency braking workshops, etc.

“Safety is priceless,” explains Warrant Officer Philippe Bouler, member of the Agen motorized platoon. This type of action in favor of the public around small cubes is regularly organized.

Lucien Monneret, instructor at Monneret Moto Sport, provided training throughout the weekend.

The opportunity also, through Highway Code workshops provided by driving schools, to get back up to speed. Because this is, among other things, why these days are popular with motorcyclists: it allows them to get back on the bike after a long break in complete safety for some, or quite simply to reassure themselves and gain confidence for others. “Whether you are a novice or experienced, and whatever the engine capacity, we find ourselves among two-wheeled machine enthusiasts. These days also allow us to have a different look at the people behind the uniform” we says a biker.
