The man “kept silent”
Presented to the investigating judge, the 42-year-old man “kept silent […] during his interrogation, said the deputy public prosecutor of Perpignan, Nicolas Brignol, at theAFP.
The boy's mother had already been indicted for murder and imprisoned on October 29.
The couple was arrested in Val-d'Oise, after revelations from a friend of the father-in-law. Before the police officers at the Argenteuil court, he explained that the forty-year-old had confided to him “having smoked his stepson”.
The police then discovered a lifeless body at the family home. The autopsy confirmed “that a multitude of violent blows were inflicted on the entire body of the unfortunate victim”, had underlined the public prosecutor of Perpignan, Jean-David Cavaillé.
The father-in-law already convicted of violence
The father-in-law “already convicted of violence and drug offenses”, had been “hospitalized following drug absorption before the arrival of investigators”, the prosecution indicated on Friday, October 25, in a press release.
