The night grocery store, located at number 4 rue Chèvrerie in Puy, was ravaged by a fire during the night from Wednesday to Thursday. Several tenants of the building were evacuated by firefighters.
It was 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday when the alert was given. A fire was destroying the night grocery store located at number 4 rue Chèvrerie, in Le Puy, in a building with three floors in addition to the ground floor. The fire broke out in the back of the store, near an electric meter.
The room, measuring around twenty square meters, was completely engulfed in flames when the firefighters arrived. Around fifteen firefighters from the main rescue center in Le Puy were involved, including the large 18-meter ladder and a fire van. Rescuers evacuated three occupants of housing on the floors above the business, as well as four people who live in the neighboring building.
The fire caused no injuries. The business had been closed for about an hour when the alert was given to the firefighters. The night grocery store was completely destroyed, but the rapid intervention of firefighters prevented any spread.
