Some people's mistakes make others happy. Threads, the rival of the X application (Twitter) saw its number of users increase by 175%.
Alternatives to X (Twitter) continue to multiply. Faced with the recent setbacks of Elon Musk's network, certain networks have seen their user base skyrocket, such as Threads, the social network launched by Mark Zuckerberg.
Rising numbers
Launched in 2023, Threads is off to a meteoric start, boasting nearly 100 million users. Figures constantly increasing according to Zuckerberg's latest statements, reported by CNBC.
The social network of the CEO of Meta currently has nearly 275 million monthly users. “We continue to be on track for this to become our next big social app” welcomes Zuckerberg.
Susan Li, Meta's chief financial officer, says growth like this opens the door for advertisers, even if they don't expect “Threads to be a significant revenue driver in 2025 as of now”.

Risky decisions
A trajectory that must make people envious. If X (Twitter) has around 318 million monthly users, Elon Musk's social network does not benefit from the same sympathy.
CNBCspecifies that the number of monthly users has fallen by nearly 24% since the takeover by Elon Musk in 2022. Departures which can be explained by changes in the social network's policy with a focus on disinformation or even non-compliance with European legislation on its users' data which for a time allowed X to train its artificial intelligence without the informed consent of its users.
