The pricing of metro and RER tickets in IDF and Paris will change on January 1st. Here are the new prices.
On January 1, 2025, the pricing of metro and RER tickets for public transport in Paris and the Paris region changes. Thus, two new “unique” tickets will enter circulation from this date. The single metro – train – RER ticket will be displayed from next January at the single price of €2.50compared to €2.15 currently for a metro ticket. This same ticket will cost €1.25 at a reduced rate (for example for large families). A price simplification which only concerns tickets taken individually, excluding the Navigo Pass. Above all, with this new single-fare ticket, users will be able to travel any distance by metro or RER, regardless of their place of departure and arrival.
Two tickets for a connection
Regarding the price of a ticket to take the bus or tram in the Paris region, Ile-de-France Mobilités announces that the price in 2025 has been set at €2 (or €1 reduced rate). Finally, it is important to note that in the event of a connection between RER and bus, it will be essential to pay 2 tickets.
