Roland-Garros: Alcaraz responds to attacks in cash!

This Tuesday evening, Carlos Alcaraz made short work of Stefanos Tsitsipas during the quarter-finals of Roland-Garros. Winner of the Greek in three sets, the Spanish prodigy saw his evening opponent complain about so-called “growls” to the referee during the match. In the post-match press conference, the world number 3 returned to this episode.

Waited at the turn, Carlos Alcaraz will not disappoint. The 20-year-old Spanish prodigy held his place against Stefanos Tsitsipas this Tuesday, and will therefore face Jannik Sinner in the semi-final. Winner in three sets from the Greek (6-3, 7-6, 6-4), the Murcian sometimes let out all his rage. During the second set, his opponent of the evening went to the referee of the match, in order to complain about the unwanted noises ofAlcaraz when the latter was about to hit the ball.

“I still hear the growl”

“I never complain about it, but it’s frustrating. When I’m about to hit the shot…and moments before I hit the shot, I still hear the groan. It’s not during the shot, it’s just before”declared Stefanos Tsitsipas to the French judge Aurélie Tourtejust after sending a forehand into the net.

“I don’t think I prolonged the screaming”

Winner of the meeting, Alcaraz was asked about this in the post-match press conference: “He complained to the referee and I listened to him. You can do it, I’m no one to say anything, although I don’t think I prolonged the screaming to the point of disturbing him. But he can think so and he is free to talk to the referee about it.”simply replied the 20-year-old prodigy, who briefly spoke with the Greek at the net after his victory, in comments relayed by RMC.
