The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH) announced Thursday that three people had been killed in Israeli strikes on the Qousseir region near Lebanon, where Hezbollah, at war against Israel, is present.
“The Israeli aggression caused damage in the industrial zone and certain residential neighborhoods of Qousseir, in the region of Homs (center),” said the official Syrian press agency Sana, reporting “wounded among civilians.” The OSDH, based in the United Kingdom and which has a vast network of sources in the country at war, specified that a strike had targeted “an arms depot and a Hezbollah fuel warehouse in the industrial zone of Qousseir”, killing three people, whose nationality could not be determined. The NGO added that the raid also “injured five Syrian civilians”.
Other warehouses were targeted on the Syrian-Lebanese border, as well as a bridge south of the city, according to the OSDH.
The correspondent of The Orient-The Day in the Bekaa, Sarah Abdallah, reported in the morning that a strike had notably targeted the village of Hoch al-Sayyed Ali, in the Hermel region, which is located along the border, opposite Qousseir.
