Good news and absences from today's session

Defeated against a remaining competitor last weekend, ASSE now welcomes the RCSA. Olivier Dall'Oglio's men were on deck this Thursday, two days before the meeting.

ASSE must only think about victory

Sixteenth in Ligue 1, Saint-Étienne is only one point ahead of (17th). Taking three points at home against RCSA remains a preferred option. But the operation seems particularly complex in the face of the third attack in Ligue 1.

If the Greens are much more comfortable at home (6 points acquired out of 7), a good result could allow the Stéphanois to regain confidence before the derby (November 10).

Several returns to the group?

Olivier Dall'Oglio's men trained in front of their home crowd this Thursday morning under the watchful eye of Loïc Perrin. It was under a light fog that the Greens began the session with an opposition game while Brice Maubleu and Issiaka Touré warmed up with Jean-François Bédénik. The session continued with a transition game, in which Ibrahim Sissoko and a great Ibrahima Wadji had to convert in front of the cages.

But today's session revealed several absences. Gautier Larsonneur, Mathieu Cafaro, Louis Mouton, Augustine Boakye, Dennis Appiah and Lucas Stassin were not present this Thursday morning. Apart from long-term absences, several Stéphanois were thus rested before this weekend's meeting. Anthony Briançon trained individually.

“Pierre Cornud did a normal session yesterday, that’s also good news. It’s good for Yvann Maçon who did a full week and will be in the group,” revealed Olivier Dall'Oglio at a press conference. The second completed full training with the group this Thursday.
