Potential candidates to succeed Laszlo Bölöni at FC Metz revealed
THE FC Metz is at a crucial turning point in its history after relegation to Ligue 2. The Metz club lost the play-off match against AS Saint-Etienne after a 2-1 defeat in the first leg and a 2-2 draw in the second leg. The search for a new coach to succeed Laszlo Bölöni, on departure, has become an absolute priority for the club. Several names are already circulating, led by Habib Beye, Régis Brouard And Stéphane Dumont.
Habib Beye: A promising profile
Habib Beye, former central defender ofOlympic Marseillerecently left the Red Star and is currently free of any commitment. According to The Lorraine Republican, Metz engaged in serious discussions with him, and an agreement even seemed to be very well on its way. However, the Moselle club’s relegation to Ligue 2 has cooled Beye, who is aiming for a position in the elite. Although this track is not completely abandoned, the chances of seeing Beye take the reins of FC Metz seem to be dwindling.
Other options
Régis Brouard, currently at the head of the Bastia club, is another strong name mentioned to succeed Bölöni. Known for his tactical skills and his ability to manage teams under pressure, Brouard has repeatedly proven himself in difficult contexts. His experience could be a major asset for Metz with a view to a rapid rise to Ligue 1.
Stéphane Dumontformer assistant at Lille and currently stationed at Guingamp, is also in Metz’s sights. Dumont has acquired a solid reputation for its rigor and work methodology. His knowledge of French football and his experience with young talents make him a serious candidate.
