MP’s Day: Yannick Gagnon receives 500 people…and dancing! (with audio and video)

The second edition of MP’s Day, held last Saturday in Jonquière, at the office of MP Yannick Gagnon, was a real success. A little over 500 people responded to the invitation to visit the office, meet the MP and perform a few dance steps with him.

For the first time in his life, the MP danced “the lasso”, a country line dance very popular with fans. According to those present, he brilliantly rose to the challenge. (Video: courtesy Pierre-Luc Desbiens)

We are talking about almost double the number of people compared to last year. The partner organization “Never without my helmet”, which provided free bicycle helmets, even ran out of helmets, taking orders from all the children present. The missing helmets will be returned to the MP’s office in the coming days.

Public figures also went to greet the MP and his team, including Bloc MP Mario Simard, advisor Michel Thiffault and UQAC rector Ghislain Samson. Many volunteers were on site, including representatives of the Jonquière Minor Football Association. MP Yannick Gagnon speaks below of a real success.

Note that there are still a few trees to distribute, those interested can stop by the MP’s office to obtain one. The MP’s team would also like to thank the organization “Never Without My Helmet” and the make-up artists from Patro de Jonquiere for their support during this day.
