Vietnam wins its eleventh ticket for the Paris 2024 Olympics

Boxer Hà Thi Linh added another medal to her tally by winning a decisive victory against Vilma Viitanen (Finland) during qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This victory allowed her to clinch the eleventh Olympic ticket for Vietnam.

Hanoi (VNA) – Boxer Hà Thi Linh added another medal to her tally with a decisive victory against Vilma Viitanen (Finland) in qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This victory allowed her to secure the eleventh ticket Olympic for Vietnam.

Ha Thi Linh won convincingly 4-1 against her Finnish opponent Vilma Viitanen in the women’s 60kg Olympic qualifying weight category. She became the second Vietnamese boxer to win the right to participate in the Paris Olympics.

Previously, her teammate Vo Thi Kim Anh also won a ticket to France in the women’s 54 kg category.

To date, eleven Vietnamese qualified athletes in various disciplines to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games are Nguyên Thuy Linh, Lê Duc Phat (badminton), Trinh Thu Vinh, Lê Thi Mông Tuyên (sport shooting), Nguyên Huy Hoang (swimming) , Nguyên Thi Thât (cycling), Trinh Van Vinh (weightlifting), Vo Thi Kim Anh, Ha Thi Linh (boxing), Nguyên Thi Huong (canoeing) and Pham Thi Huê (rowing). -VNA
