Three people, including a minor, were indicted for their alleged involvement in the explosion of a grenade that occurred last week in Aubervilliers, in Seine-Saint-Denis. The incident seriously injured a cyclist and caused significant property damage.

Indictment and incarceration

A grenade explosion took place on the evening of May 23 at Aubervilliersin Seine-Saint-Denis, resulting in serious injury to a cyclist and considerable property damage. The suspects were apprehended later in the week and presented to judicial authorities.

According to media reports, three people were indicted. Charged with attempted murder by an organized gang and other charges linked to the use of a dangerous weapon, they were placed in pre-trial detention.

“The maximum penalty incurred is life imprisonment.”

Among these individuals is a 17-year-old minor as well as two 18-year-olds. Two of the accused allegedly admitted their involvement in the facts. All were indicted for attempted murder by an organized gang and other charges related to the use of a dangerous weapon. They were placed in pre-trial detention pending further proceedings.

The charges against the defendants are serious. The state of health of the seriously injured victim remains worrying, although he has emerged from a coma. “The maximum penalty incurred is life imprisonment.”according to the Bobigny public prosecutor, Eric Mathais.
