Mini-companies have been coming in succession for several years at Pierre Labitrie College, and this year again, the Rotarians of Tournefeuille, sponsor of the mini-company, relaunched the operation. 29 3rd grade students registered in the regional Entreprendre Pour Learn competition and met every week in their free time to carry out their project. Supervised by François Gianduzzo, their technology teacher, the Entreprendre Pour Learning association and Julien Attal from the Rotary Club of Tournefeuille, they created their mini-company ‘Click and Wood’ (personalized wooden products) which operates like a real limited company .

The students operated as a real business all year round and presented a range of varied and seasonal products such as Christmas decorations, items for Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day and Easter, not to mention personalized items for Tourfeuillais traders. They were present on the market as well as in the shopping malls of Tournefeuille supermarkets.

Last Thursday, the regional Entreprendre Pour Learn fair, at the Ernest-Wallona stadium, brought together more than 1,000 students from the Occitanie region. The Tourfeuillais middle school students presented their project to a jury of professionals and received the Gold medal in the two categories in which they entered: craftsmanship and sustainable development. Like every year, the profits are used to help with a school trip and a charity. This year, the students chose the Ocean Cleaner association.
