The Samu helicopter, the firefighters and the gendarmerie went urgently around 6 p.m. Saturday May 25 to Grande Brosse, a hamlet of Donzy.

A domestic accident had just occurred. Two young girls were seriously burned. One of them, aged 10, with 60% burns, was airlifted to the Armand Trousseau Hospital in Paris, in the burns department. Her sister, aged 13, was burned mainly on the face and was transported to Nevers by the Samu. Their vital prognosis is not in jeopardy, reports this Sunday, May 26, the Nevers public prosecutor’s office.

Saved by her father

Still according to the prosecution, the origin of the accident stemmed from the disposal of green waste. After felling a tree, the father of a family installed a barrel to burn the residual waste. However, the 24-year-old half-brother of the affected girls decided, when he no longer saw any embers in the barrel, to put gasoline in it for the first time. To no avail, he refilled the fuel. But during this gesture, it was a ball of fire that made him move backwards.
