If a new model is being built, it would be in the face of the success of the 98-inch Crystal 4K model that was released this year. Samsung would have wanted to release the 100-inch connected in 2024 before changing its mind and aiming for 2025.

Samsung would target small budgets

Samsung is therefore continuing a general market trend: larger screens but aimed at smaller budgets. This is a growing consumer demand in the face of Chinese value for money champions like TCL or Hisense. These manufacturers offer LCD models from 98 to 100 inches at aggressive prices.

Samsung also uses LCD panels which are less expensive than QLED or OLED. For the Korean manufacturer therefore, this would be a winning strategy in the face of customers who opt for size more than image quality. These consumers are willing to pay a little more for a large screen instead of a smaller but technologically advanced model.

With this future 100-inch Crystal LCD connected television, if its existence is proven, Samsung would consolidate its position in this growing market. All this while putting obstacles in the way of Chinese manufacturers in this sector.
