This Wednesday, October 23, the Hippodrome is hosting an exceptional day of racing, with the 47th Grand Prix du Sud-Ouest at the top of the bill, a legendary event for trotting enthusiasts. Among the 11 horses registered, some of the greatest European champions will compete on the track. But this day will not be limited to the horse racing competition: the public will also have the opportunity to participate in a unique competition, offering the unique opportunity to become co-owner of a racehorse, up to 10%.

A legendary race

The Grand Prix du Sud-Ouest is an unmissable event on the horse racing calendar. This prestigious event, preparatory to the 2025 American Grand Prix, will see champions such as Étonnant, winner of the Elitloppet in Sweden, and Hooker Berry, victorious at the last American Grand Prix. Other big names in trotting will also be present, such as Emeraude de Bais, Just a Gigolo, and Hanna des Molles. The start of the Grand Prix du Sud-Ouest will be given at 5:28 p.m. sharp, promising a thrilling spectacle for racing fans. Before that, the Grand Prix de l’Agglo d’Agen, support of Quinté+, will launch hostilities at 1:55 p.m., offering punters the opportunity to try their luck on an equally tough field. In addition to the emotions on the track, the Agen racecourse offers a unique experience to its visitors: a unique competition, completely free, which will allow five lucky winners to become 10% co-owners of a promising young horse, Norton Kadesh , a 2-year-old son of the famous champion Timoko.
This competition offers any racing enthusiast, even non-professional, the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of racehorse owners. The winners will have no costs incurred and will be able to closely follow the career of their horse, trained by Richard Westerink, a reference in the field, notably for having led Timoko and Étonnant to victory.

Share the passion for trotting

For racing enthusiasts and novices alike, becoming a co-owner represents a chance to experience the strong emotions of horse racing competitions up close. In addition to the potential financial gains, it is the possibility of following each race with a unique involvement, of meeting coaches, drivers, and feeling the adrenaline rush during victories.
In addition to the Grand Prix and the competition, the Agen Hippodrome is inaugurating new infrastructures to improve the spectator experience, in particular with the commissioning of a new control room and a large screen for broadcasting images racing. A total of eight trotting races will take place from 1:30 p.m., with suspenseful moments guaranteed for punters and racing fans. The festivities of this exceptional day are accessible free of charge, a great opportunity for everyone to discover or rediscover the world of trotting.
