Rennes – Le Havre: match summary
Ligue 1. 1-0

Deprived of success since September 15 and after having put away its 3-4-3, Rennes is not yet well in place, but these three points will do it the greatest good. In a 4-3-3, with a low point, the one that made the heyday of the Genesio era, Stade Rennais could not manage to win the game. With Jota, Andres Gomez, Gronbaek and Kamara, this eleven of the “finishers” of Le Blé last Saturday (1-1) struggled to find connections.

If Jota did not hesitate to come and recover low balls, Gronbaek had not taken care of his corners. The Le Havre people certainly spent their time defending, but Desmas was called upon far too little. Blas was, as usual since August, the most dangerous (18', 35'). Despite 70% possession and ten shots, Julien Stephan's players were escorted to the locker room by the whistles.

Andres Gomez frees Roazhon Park

Because the absence of speed, movements, permutations and, in fact, clear opportunities was sanctioned by a public demanding revolt. After the break, the machine didn't get much carried away. It took an exploit from Andres Gomez to break the deadlock. The Colombian's curling shot flew into the top corner (55'). Liberated, the Rennes showed themselves a little more enterprising, but, as too often, retreated to their goal. Nego gave a thrill (90' +1)… Only a thrill.
