Since its name change, the former Dunois Jogging Club can better promote its activities. They bring together some 130 members.

Ninety people attended, Friday evening, in the Saint-Jean room, the general assembly of Rando running dunois (RRD), held in the presence of the mayor (SE), Fabien Verdier, who was able to see “the dynamism of the association and of its volunteers.

Members are gradually becoming accustomed to the new name after forty years of the Dunois Jogging Club. The club says it has gained visibility.

At the opening of the session, the new co-president Philippe Badufle mentioned the absence of former president Gilles Vanoverschelde. “He is currently on the Grand Raid de La Réunion, a Diagonale des Fous of 175 km and 10,100 m of positive altitude difference. »

Activities did not stop throughout the year for the 130 members. “Some progress in walking and Nordic walking has been noted. Running still has its fans, even if it is struggling to expand. Finally, maintenance gymnastics practitioners appreciate the new Jean-de-la room. »

Philippe Badufle then recalled the various actions carried out by the RRD: the Phénix Challenge at the des Gâts, the Telethon marches, the spring hike, the Heart Journey and Fitness and Heritage.

He was pleased to see three members carrying out the marker training. They will be operational in the spring to maintain the yellow markings of the paths in the southern sector of Eure-et-Loir.

For his part, secretary Didier Ravion reminded that the purchase of the new t-shirt is always possible.

At the sporting level, the Dunois rando won the number trophies on the Bonneval hikes for the second time as well as on the Yèvres hike.

Good results were also highlighted in running, the Godillose walk and triathlon.

Programme. Co-president Denis Marceau presented the 2024-25 program. It will open with the Défi du Phénix on November 17 then the 24-hour Telethon walk on November 29.
