The Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordioreceived a certificate of merit from the Italian Movement for Kindness, within the framework of the eleventh assembly of the World Movement for Kindness, taking place in Palermo, at the Norman Palace. This is what we read in a note. The motivation is as follows: “To the illustrious Minister, the Honorable Carlo Nordio, whose actions are marked by great dedication and a spirit of service, with an enlightened vision of the “justice” found in his practice operational aimed at respecting the dignity of citizens. and justice workers. Imbued with that property of the soul which is an integral part of ethics, namely goodness, defined by Schopenhauer as a genuine and deep concern for others. It therefore reflects an understanding of the preciousness of life and its imperfections, the mark of a personality which demonstrates authentic feelings of respect towards everyone.

The Keeper of the Seals – continues the note – thanked the organizers by emphasizing that “benevolence must characterize each of us: considering others as our brother, being aware of our limits, set by the imperfection of our intellect. From this awareness must flow modesty, and from it precisely kindness. One of the greatest qualities a person can have – Nordio concluded – is humility which corresponds to knowing one’s limits. Culture teaches us the limits of our faculties and to never procrastinate towards others because however rich, powerful and learned we may be, true wisdom consists in being aware of our limits.”
