The ICO (International Combat Organization) kick boxing world championships have just taken place in Frankfurt (Germany). Two Tarn-et-Garonnais athletes, and more precisely from MKB ( kick boxing) were selected by Thierry Muccini, the French manager of this international organization: Tom Cribier in less than 75 kg light contact, and Federico Tessier, in less than 65 kg full-contact, and light contact. From the start of the first day, in light kick, Tom faces a very strong German. The fight is underway, and rough, and it is a draw which is signaled on the gong. In the end, Tom lost in a contentious extra-round. For his part, Federico narrowly lost in the semi-final to a Ukrainian, and paid the price of being counted out in the first round.

During the second day, the Montalbanese clan hopes that its fighters will react. In light contact, Tom Cribier won this time in the extra-round in the quarter-final against a Scot who gave him twenty centimeters. No problem in the half, with a unanimous success from the judges against a Nepalese. In the final, it is against another German, a local star, that he must seek the title. Here again, after a constant struggle, the opposition ended in a draw. More decisive, and precise in his exchanges, Tom won at the end of the courage, and the extra-round, and therefore won the title to the great pleasure of his coach Pierre Gottvalles.

For his part, Federico Tessier passed his quarter in light contact without incident, then his half. In the final, against an Englishman, he lost again in the extra-round. Federico will return with money.
