One last update before the end

Microsoft recently released a new Windows 10 update. This surprised users. Although the system is nearing the end of its support, build 19045.5070 has been deployed to the Beta and Release Preview channels. This unexpected choice comes as Windows 11 gradually takes over.

Beta channel users now benefit from something new: improved information maps on hardware specifications. Microsoft explained that these cards are designed to provide useful information about device components. For all users, a new account manager appears, while the “Lock” command migrates to the Start menu. However, these changes could divide the community.

Tweaks to the Start menu remind criticism of Windows 11where some users called these changes futile. One of them compared this rearrangement to that of the shelves of a supermarket, carried out without justification other than the will of management. These transformations raise a question: Is this necessary as Windows 10 comes to an end?

Windows 11 Update Fixes

Microsoft also fixed a stop error (code 0x3B) when updating to Windows 11. However, this fix likely won’t solve users’ reluctance to migrate. High hardware requirements and the absence of major new features in Windows 11 remain obstacles for many.

Microsoft also made a communication error by claiming on X that Windows 11 would bring users back to happy days of Windows 1.0. This slip was quickly corrected. But he reminded nostalgics that Windows 1.0, launched in 1985, was far from a success.

Additional improvements and a final wink

The latest Windows 10 update also includes fixes for multifunction printers. It also includes new activation phone numbers. Microsoft seems to want to offer one last stable experience before permanently ending support for its iconic operating system.

As Microsoft prepares for the future with Windows 11, Windows 10 continues to evolve with some final adjustments. These changes show that, even at the end of life, Microsoft wants to offer a quality service to its users. But the transition is not expected to be smooth.
