Rain and storms persist across almost all of France, this Tuesday, May 21, 2024. In its 6 a.m. bulletin, Météo France thus maintains two departments (the Charente Maritime and the Gironde) on orange alert for “rain-flood”.

67 departments are also on yellow alert, mainly for the risk of thunderstorms, but also rain-flooding and floods.

A rainy and locally stormy area from the Alps to the Grand Est

An episode of heavy rain is in progress until mid-morning on Tuesday in the north of Gironde and the south of Charente-Maritime, specifies the weather organization, which forecasts cumulative precipitation of around 30 at 40 millimeters on the episode, locally 50 to 60 mm.

This Tuesday morning, a very rainy and locally stormy area will extend from the Alps to the Grand Est, and will extend to the north of Hauts-de-France. The temperatures ? The maximums will rise to 22, or even 26°C near the Mediterranean17 to 21°C in the rest of the country with locally 15/16°C on the Channel coasts and Limousin.
