The firefighters were alerted at 2:30 p.m. this Thursday, October 17, 2024. Thick smoke, visible to motorists taking the Quimper-Concarneau expressway (the RN 165), is escaping from the Belmet company. The company, located on route de Rosporden, in Quimper (Finistère), not far from the Troyalac’h roundabout, specializes in industrial supplies and the distribution of metallurgical products.

Twenty-three firefighters

A fire, the origin of which is undetermined, broke out in a diesel tank. Twenty-three firefighters were mobilized. The warehouse where the fire broke out was evacuated to ventilate the smoke. There were no victims and the company’s activity was not impacted. At 5:30 p.m., firefighters were still on site.
