The new 1,200 hp Ferrari F80 in photos!

With an output of 1,200 hp, the F80 is the most powerful production car ever produced by Ferrari.

Ferrari today unveiled its new Supercar soberly named F80. An exciting new chapter in the rich history of Supercars at Cavalino Rampante and an extraordinary exercise in style that cannot leave anyone indifferent. A disconcerting mixture of sobriety and absolute brutality, it is a complete break with everything that Ferrari has been able to offer us. The F80 will be produced in a limited series of just 799 examples and joins icons such as the GTO, F40, Enzo and LaFerrari.

When the 288 GTO, the F50 or the Enzo, to name but a few, were monsters of indomitable power with an almost strictly sporting vocation, Ferrari wanted to obtain uncompromising levels of ergonomics for this new creation so that it could be driving with “ease” both in everyday life and on the circuit. Knowing the creations of Maranello, we already know this relative ease, but we can only welcome the Italian manufacturer’s approach of wanting to offer an exhilarating driving experience whatever the virtuosity of the driver, and no longer just the pilot. As such, the interior can be described as “1+” because, although the car is approved for two occupants, the choice was made to minimize the width, for the benefit of aerodynamics and weight. A sort of two-seater single-seater completely devoted to its driver.

Under the carbon hood we find in the central rear position a 120° V6 with 3 liters of displacement code “63CF”. THE thermal block alone develops a dizzying power of 900 hp, making it the Ferrari engine with the highest specific power of all time with 300 hp/liter. The electric front axle (e-4WD) and the rear motor of the hybrid system are responsible for adding an additional 300 hp. The link of this car with motorsport is particularly strong since the architecture of this engine is derived from the engine of the Hypercar 499P which won the last two editions of the 24 Hours of . Exceptional in every way, this F80 is also exceptional in terms of price since you have to pay 3.6 million euros to become its owner.
