The situation calms down

Following a bomb threat on Monday October 14, teachers exercised their right of withdrawal, demanding reinforced security measures. This Wednesday, a first step towards ending the crisis took place with the arrival of the deputy academic director, Régis Bégorre, at the beginning of the afternoon. Earlier in the morning, a listening cell had been set up to support staff, still marked by the incident that occurred on the day of the tribute paid to Samuel Paty and Dominique Bernard, both killed in 2020 and 2023 by radicalized Islamists.

During his intervention at 2 p.m. and while the staff of the establishment continued to assert their right of withdrawal, the deputy academic director met a delegation of teachers and assured them that all the conditions for resuming classes were now united. However, he left the final decision to them, with staff having to meet this Thursday, October 17 before the scheduled resumption of classes to decide what action to take.
